Thank you for your interest in FireWind Massage! I am looking forward to meeting you, and helping you toward a better quality of life.
New client arrival and intake forms: When you book online for the first time there are some intake forms to fill out so you won't have to be bothered later before your session. My scheduling system will automatically send you an appointment confirmation for and a text and email reminder 48 hours in advance of your appointment.
Please arrive for your appointment at least 5-10 minutes early. Also allow extra time if you are unfamiliar with my location. When you arrive at the studio, have a seat in the waiting area and I will come and greet you. Feel free to ask any questions that you may have now or later. Arriving just a bit early will also allow you to get settled and use the bathroom if you need to. If you are late, any time past the start of your scheduled session will take away from your valuable treatment time.
COVID-19 requirements and precautions: I abide by all local mandates and ordinances. If you have any COVID symptoms, a fever or have been around anyone who expresses symptoms of COVID or anyone that has tested positive for COVID please cancel your appointment. If you are awaiting the results of a COVID test I ask that you reschedule. If you tested positive for COVID and are asymptomatic, you will have to test negative before having a session. I do not allow visitors to wait in our waiting room while clients are being treated unless they are a physical aide (care assistant). I have some clients that are immunocompromised so I appreciate your help keeping the studio safe for everyone.
Appointment Booking: All sessions are by appointment only and these are easily made by clicking the Book Now under Booking and Hours on my homepage.
Payment: Confirmed bookings require a credit or debit card deposit. I do not accept or bill medical insurance or Medicare, and payment is due at the time of service. If you have an HSA card or flex-spending account, you may be able to use your funds for sessions with a physician's prescription with ICD diagnosis codes - you need to check with your plan administrator to see what is allowed and required for use of funds.
Motor Vehicle Accident Treatment: If you have been involved in a motor vehicle accident, I can provide you with detailed receipts to submit to your insurance or provide your attorney also note that you will need a physician's ICD diagnosis code to submit these for reimbursement or settlement.
Sessions are By Appointment Only. My office is located at 1501 N. Cleveland Avenue, Loveland, CO, Suite E. Parking is open on the west side of the building and there is ample street parking.
Session Format: All sessions allow 5 minutes for getting on the table and 5 minutes at the end to get dressed. This means a 60 minute session will have approximately 50 minutes of treatment time. This is not etched in stone, often sessions or post consultation goes a bit longer.
You must be able to get on and off the massage table unassisted. If you need assistance, you must have a physical aide accompany you to your appointment to get you on and off the table.
Preparation For Your Session: Be recently bathed and hydrated prior to your session. Inform me of any prescription or over the counter pain medication taken in the 4 hours prior to your appointment. Don’t apply any topical medications (steroid creams, vitamin creams, etc.), topical analgesics or supplements (CBD or CBD/THC, Biofreeze, etc.) because these can absorb back onto me through my hands and also could also affect your ability to give proper feedback on pressure etc. It is recommended to remove any necklaces, bracelets and other jewelry.
Sobriety: Therapeutic massage or even just a relaxation massage is a powerful modality and needs your unaltered nervous system for best effect and your personal safety. Don’t be high just before or during your session. If I suspect for any reason that you are intoxicated or ‘stoned’ the session will not take place or will be ended, you will be charged for the full session, and you will be dismissed from the practice.
Contraindications for Massage: Massage is a non-invasive holistic treatment generally considered safe for most people but there are times and conditions that rule it out. As a rule of thumb, if you are currently under the care of your physician for any major medical diagnosis you need to clear massage with your health provider.
There are other situations and conditions that are contraindicated for massage, some are short term, others long term. For example, if you have an active fever, are sick and/or just not feeling well would be more short term contraindications. Uncontrolled high blood pressure, deep vein thrombosis, kidney or liver disease, skin conditions such as impetigo would be long term contraindications.
It is important to keep in mind that massage/bodywork is not a substitute for medical examination, diagnosis, or treatment and you should see a physician or other qualified medical specialists for any mental or physical ailment.
Cancellation Policy: I understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In my desire to be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies are honored:
24 hour advance notice is required when cancelling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give us 24 hours advance notice you will be charged the full amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.
No-shows is anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show.” They will be charged for their “missed” appointment. All no call/no shows and appointments cancelled within the policy window are subject to being charged at my discretion. No call/no shows will seriously damage any professional relationship.
Late Arrivals if you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the “full” session. Out of respect and consideration to your Therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time.
Thanks for honoring our time together.
